Almost all Susan’s paintings are inspired by thinking about her Great Grandmother Maggie Dunn and the ancestors.
Life was simple for Susan’s ancestors-community, earth, sun and water. Life was not always easy but it was simple, consistent and peaceful.
That has been disrupted forever. Susan cannot go back to the same and nor would she wish to but sometimes she would like more of the old simple Community Life of earth and sun and water. Perhaps we all would.
